How can the Chevron and Texaco Business Card Program help me manage my business fleet fuel expenses?

The Chevron and Texaco Business Card Program can help you track your business fueling expenses separately from your other business expenses. 

  • The business fuel card can help you control and monitor fuel purchases through detailed reporting and access to your account online 24/7.  The business fuel card can even help reduce unauthorized fuel purchases through the use of Driver Identification Numbers (DINs), which are required to be used before a purchase can be made. 
  • If your business takes you to an area without a Chevron or a Texaco location, the Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card will allow your drivers to fuel at any location that accepts MasterCard, regardless of brand, with the same controls and monitoring ability of purchases at these locations to help you manage your fuel purchases.

What type of reporting will I receive with the Chevron and Texaco Business Fuel Card Program?

With the Chevron and Texaco Business Card, you will receive a Detailed Customer Statement that provides details on every purchase.  The Vehicle Management Report is also available and provides detailed tracking information by fleet card, driver and vehicle. You also have the flexibility of receiving your statement electronically.

With the Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card, you will receive a Customer Statement, which will summarize your total balance.  You also have the ability to create custom reports through the online report builder. Reports available include:

  • Cardholder Management Report – provides details on each transaction by cardholder, including miles between fill-ups, miles/gallon and cost/mile after each transaction
  • Additional reports are available online

What type of fleet card controls do I have with my Chevron and Texaco Business Fuel Card Program?

Control features for the Chevron and Texaco Business Card include:

  • Driver Identification Numbers (DINs) to help control unauthorized use of your business fuel cards 
  • Ability to restrict purchases to automotive products only or fuel only 
  • Detailed statements with reporting 
  • Odometer prompting to help track mileage, cost per mile, and miles per gallon for each of your vehicles
  • Restrict usage during non-work hours

Control features for the Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card include:

  • Driver Identification Numbers (DINs) or Vehicle ID Numbers to monitor fleet card usage
  • Ability to restrict or allow purchases outside of fuel by card
  • Advanced reporting features with customized reporting options
  • Odometer prompting to help track mileage, cost per mile, and miles per gallon for each of your vehicles

How can I help reduce unauthorized purchases with the Chevron and Texaco Business Fuel Card Program?

The Chevron and Texaco Business Card and the Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card give you the ability to help control types of purchases for each fleet fuel card. For your added security, a transaction will not be completed unless the correct, required Driver Identification Number (DIN) is entered. You can also set purchase limits on individual cards such as maximum dollar restrictions, time of day limits, day of week limits, gallon limits, transaction limits, and product restrictions.

Can I setup multiple purchase restrictions on one business fuel card?

Yes, multiple purchase restrictions can be set on one card. With the Chevron and Texaco Business Gas Card, you can set the account to lock when a restriction is breached. For example, if the fleet card is set with dollar amount and transactions per day restrictions, the first restriction to be breached will lock the card. The Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card allows you to also set certain controls to be reported as an exception, if you don’t want the fuel cards to be locked when a restriction is breached.  These exceptions will show up on the Exception Report that can be downloaded from your account management website.  Click here to access your account online and to set purchase restrictions.

Which Chevron and Texaco Card Program best fits my business needs?

If your business operates a smaller number of vehicles, and uses only Chevron and/or Texaco fueling locations, the Chevron and Texaco Business Card is the right fleet card for you. There is no monthly or annual program fee, and the program provides your business with detailed reporting to help monitor fueling purchases. You can also set time of day restrictions to help better manage your fuel expenses.

Are there monthly or annual fees associated with the Chevron and Texaco Business Card Fuel Program?

The Chevron and Texaco Business Card does not have a monthly or annual program fee.

The Chevron and Texaco Universal Business Card does not have an account fee for any month where purchases exceed 1,000 gallons of fuel (if under, $10 monthly fee waived for all new accounts through 12/31/11).

Payments and Credits

How do I make a payment to my Chevron and Texaco Business Card or Universal Business Card account?

There are several ways to make a payment to your Chevron and Texaco Business Card account.

How can I sign up to receive credit card statements sent to me electronically?

To access your Business account online and change the setting to have your statement sent electronically, please call Customer Service.

Business Card customers, please call 1.866.435.3201.

My payment hasn't posted to my account. How long does it take to post?

Please allow 7 to 10 days for your payment to be received if sent through the U.S. Postal Service. When mailing your payment, please include the remittance slip with your check to avoid delays in processing.  If payment was made online through your bank or a bill pay service, please allow 2 to 5 days for posting. Payments made over the phone with a Customer Service Representative can take 24 to 48 hours to post to your account.  If sufficient time has passed and your payment has yet to post, check with your bank to verify whether the payment has cleared. If you have questions about a specific payment, please call Customer Service for assistance.

Billing

How is my finance charge calculated on my credit card account?

Please refer to the back of your billing statement under "Finance Charge Calculations". If you need further assistance, contact us.

How do I avoid late fees?

To avoid being assessed late fees on your business credit card account, pay the amount due on your statement by the due date. The postmark on your envelope will not protect your account from receiving a late fee. Payment must be received before the due date.

How can I get a copy of the terms for my account?

If you have lost the terms for your account that were sent to you upon enrollment, you may obtain a copy by calling the Customer Service number listed below.

When can I expect a response to the email I just sent?

Our goal is to respond to all questions within 72 hours, excluding weekends and legal holidays.

How do I log in to my account online?

Access your account at http://www.chevrontexacobusinesscard.com/my-account.aspx.

What do I do if I've forgotten my User ID or password?

For your Chevron and Texaco Business Card Account, your User ID is your email address.  If you've forgotten or lost your Password, click on the "Forgot Password" button on the log in page of your account online. A new window will pop up; enter your email address and account number. Click submit, and a new Password will be emailed to you.
